Pastor Steven Long

Executive Pastor | CFO

Favorite Bible Verses:
Acts 13:36, “For David, after he had served the purpose of God in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid with his fathers…” (ESV). This is my life verse – to merely serve the will of God in my generation.

Favorite worship songs:
‘O Come to the Altar,’ by Elevation Worship. Three symbols here: brokenness, need of restoration, Jesus is calling; so, come to the Altar to be healed by Jesus.

Favorite quotes from Pastor Pat's Sermons:
“Steven Long is so good looking; I wish that I was ½ as good looking as him.”  :-)

How long I've been attending CCFS and my role here:
I have the responsibility of organizing the church in administration, business strategy, expansion, facility management, and finance. Additionally, I serve as the corporation's Chief Financial Officer.

I have been on staff since late 2018 mostly working remotely behind the scenes from California. My favorite thing about working in this ministry is watching others use their God-given gifts to grow and serve in the local church. Recently, our family moved back to Arizona, and we are now full-time at Calvary Chapel 14:6.

How I came to know the Lord:
I came to Christ when I was six years old when NBC released its’ 1978 mini-series, ‘Jesus of Nazareth.’ While not entirely accurate in recounting the life of Jesus, the mini-series so impacted my life, I asked God to forgive me of my sins and proceeded to be water baptized.
