Psalm 28: 6 – 7 (NKJV) Blessed be the Lord, Because He has heard the voice of my supplications! 7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.
There’s nothing wrong with asking God for things you need or about situations you would like to see changed. We may not understand why God does, or does not, intervene in any given situation but there is one thing God does for us for certain if we continue to trust Him. You can see it in Psalm 28 –look at that word “supplications”. It means to plead with someone. King David discovered that when he really poured out his heart to God, the Lord granted him peace of mind, a deep, inner confidence that everything was going to work out because God had his back. This is what we can expect from God when we really trust Him.
