Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (Heb. 10:25)
It’s easy to feel all alone and disconnected at church on Sunday – but the solution isn’t to find another church. Pastor Barry Young says, “there are two important letters in the word CHURCH = U and R. In other words, U R the church.” He’s right y’know! We need to connect together in small groups for deep friendships or else the church can become a cold, disconnected audience. And that’s not “meeting together”, that’s just buying tickets to a show. Let’s counteract that and get involved in a small group today. Check out our website for more details about where you can get connected.
In the meantime, make it a point to gather together with us this coming Sunday and go out of your way to connect with other believers as friends. The basis of being a disciple is to connect with God and other believers in a vast, spiritual connection the bible calls “the body of Christ.”It’s easy in our culture to see church as attendance at an event so it’s important to take time to get to know people before and after service.
