CalvaryKIDZ Service

CalvaryKIDZ is designed to have pre-service games, a welcome/mixer, a key point we briefly review, a game that is relevant and points back to the purpose of the message, and engaging worship songs. We then move on to our message time where the children hear God’s word through an energetic Bible story set-up. Everyone receives a Bible, including children who didn’t bring one, and then a leader comes and reads a verse-by-verse passage of scripture to them. We follow up with what they learned by watching an entertaining, purposeful video about the Bible story. After all this, the lesson is then reinforced as they go and discuss what they learned during small group time.

So children HEAR the message, WATCH the message, and then DISCUSS the message! This apologetic approach teaches the kids – week after week – the WHY behind the message. It helps children learn to defend their faith and allows God’s word to get into their head and down into their heart.

Small Groups are vital to this ministry. Small group time is where the leaders/coaches develop relationships with the kids. They dig into God’s word a little deeper, talk about how it applies to the kids’ lives, and ask questions about the message to the kids. Prayer requests are taken and then prayed for.

CalvaryCASH is passed out during small group time, where children earn “money” for attendance, bringing their Bible, answering questions, and bringing a friend. Each child can then save their money for a big prize or spend it weekly at the prize wall! This positive-reinforcement reward system is designed to encourage spiritual discipline, biblical habits, and godly behavior within children.

There is a distinct process and flow for the safety & security of the children attending. If you are new, there will be a New Family Host to help you get registered in our electronic check-in system. They’ll walk you through the entire process, answer any questions you may have, and take you and your child(ren) to the appropriate room(s) where every leader, volunteer, and staff is background-checked & interviewed.

Our weekend services are designed to be fun, energetic, and engaging so your child will look forward to coming to church and learning more about Jesus. Our hope is to partner with families in their pursuit of this mission. We can’t wait to see you this weekend!
