Men's Ministry Director

How long I've been attending CCFS and my role here:
I have been at CCFS for 2 years now. I have been the Men’s Ministry Leader since June 2019. I have been on the Security team for 1.5 years.
My roles:
Men’s Ministry: To conduct activities that will bring men together to connect with each other, learn to become Christ like leaders in their home, work, community and church. To encourage men to grow in the Word and reach other men for Christ.
Head Deacon: Support ministry leaders /Deacons. Interview and vet potential volunteers. Help build relationships among volunteers and other members of the body.
Security Team: Be available to intervene in the event a security issue arises in the church
My favorite part of working in these ministries is connecting with people in the church. Being used by God to minister to others and helping them connect with each other and grow in His Word.

How I came to know the Lord:
I was invited to attend a “short course in Christianity”. The first two times I received the invitation I was “too busy”. Then God allowed me to be in an auto accident which broke my pelvic bone in two places and broke 2 ribs. While I was convalescing I received my third invitation. I had plenty of time then. That’s where I met Jesus face to face.
Favorite Bible Verses:
My life verses is Proverbs 3: 5&6.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.”
I have experienced that trusting God with EVERYTHING is so much easier than worrying about what’s going to happen. By trusting Him I don’t worry.

Favorite worship songs:
“Thank You” (for giving to the Lord) by Ray Bolts. Listening to that song reminds me of how important it is to speak to others about the Lord and that what we say will make a difference as to whether they go to Heaven or hell. Also that what we do, (give of ourselves and our treasure and talent) here for the Kingdom makes a difference in the lives of others.

Favorite quotes from Pastor Pat's Sermons:
“The rapture can happen at ANY TIME”.
I’m counting on the “any time” to be soon.

I would like for people to know that we have a place up north with lots of land that brothers and sisters in Christ are welcome to come up to if they need a place to get away.
